One airlifted, three injuried in Friday East 80 accident

Vehicle stopped, waiting to make turn, struck in rear

A two vehicle accident Friday afternoon resulted in injuries to three occupants, one of whom was later airlifted to Kosair Children's Hospital in Louisville, KY.Sondra Bewley, 20, Greensburg, KY, was traveling west on Russell Road (KY EAST 80), Friday, August 3, 2007, at approximatley 5:45pm CT, driving a 1993 Firebird carrying three passengers: Alvin Stotts, Katelyn Stotts, 3, and Hannah Stotts 17 months, all of Columbia, KY.


Bewley was stopped waiting to make a left turn, and was struck in the rear by Tasha Sullivan, 31, of Columbia, KY. Sullivan was driving a 2003 Chevy Trailblazer, according to the Adair County Sheriff's Department.

Adair County EMS transported Sondra Bewley, Hannah Stotts and Katelyn Stotts to Westlake Hospital. Katelyn Stotts was then transported to Kosair by helicopter.

The accident was investigated by Adair County Deputy Sheriff Charles Greer.
