Staci Newsom: Extension Intern for Adair - Her last day Photo with this article By Tony Rose, Adair County Youth Extension Agent As I write this article, I start to think back to May 14 which was the first day for Staci Newsom, our Summer Extension Intern for Adair County. Her first day was an all day bicycle program for the 4th graders of Adair County. Friday, August 3 is Staci's last day with our office. The Adair County Cooperative Extension Staff has been truly blessed to have Staci working with us this summer. Those of you that had the chance to work or get to know Staci this summer have a great understanding of her love of working with kids and how much the kids like working with her. The summer intern program is designed to give interns a taste of what it is like to be a County Extension Agent. This is the first summer intern that we have had in our office since I have been working and working with Staci has been a true joy. .I know that our staff, all the volunteers, parents, and kids would like to wish Staci all the best in her last year at Lindsey Wilson College and hope the best for her in all her future activities. On a personal note, working with Staci in the intern program has been one of the most positive things I have been involved in and she has been a joy to work with. Staci will still be helping us with some projects this next school year, so many of you should still see her around from time to time. So on her last day, I would like to say thank you for all you have done for the youth and citizens of Adair County. Educational programs of the Kentucky Cooperative Extension Service serve all people regardless of race, color, age, sex, religion, disability, or national origin.
