Jefferson Alley will look better now

To the editor, CM, in thanks to the Hingles

I am so glad to know about the Tearoom. I am very pleased that the back as well as the front is painted, as the article says. (I have not seen it yet.)

The backs of buildings along Jefferson Alley are so visible that I'm sure the unpainted exteriors seen from Burkesville Street give a bad impression of Columbia.

I'm glad we have owners who are aware of making Columbia look better. I hope this awareness of painting the back of a building is an idea that catches on.
