Lucas Parnell recaptured after escape from cruiser Originally arrested on Saturday, July 21, he was recaptured in same area where escape occurred, four days later, after arresting officer finds him in loft of garage, and chases him on foot. Lucas Parnell, 28, 509 Weed-Sparksville Road, Columbia, KY, was arrested on July 25, 2007, at approximately 7:00pm on Grady Loop. Parnell was wanted on warrants stemming from an incident which occurred on July 21, 2007, when Deputy Bruce McCloud arrested Parnell on a drug paraphernalia charge.< br>Parnell had been cuffed and put in the back of the crusier. Parnell then kicked the window out of the police cruiser and fled. At approximately 7:00pm on Wednesday, July 25, 2007, Deputy McCloud was checking the area for Parnell and saw Parnell cross Grady Loop in front of his vehicle. Parnell then fled and and was pursued by Deputy McCloud on foot. Parnell was apprehended in the loft of a garage on Grady Loop. He was arrested and charged with escape 3rd degree, criminal mischief 2nd, possesion of drug paraphernalia, and fleeing and evading 2nd. When he was recaptured, he had freed himself from the handcuffs. The arrested was made by Deputy Bruce McCloud of the Adair County Sheriff's Department, assisted by City of Columbia Police Officers Gary Roy and Kevin Atwood.
