Cyclist airlifted to UK Medical Center afer crash near WCD

A Russell County motorcyclist, Dwight W. Richards, 41, Jamestown, was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center Sunday afternoon, after a crash two miles north of the Wolf Creek Dam.

Richards was traveling on U.S. 127 on a 1993 Yamaha motorcycle when he lost control and struck a guard rail. The accident occurred July 22, 2007, at 4:00pm CT.


Richards was wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.

Trooper Martin Wesley of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, investigated the incident.
