3 treated at hospitals after 2 vehicle accident E. of Burkesville

A two vehicle accident occurred approximately five miles east of Burkesville on KY 90 at approximately 1:27pm CT, today, Wednesday, July 18, resulting in hospital treatment for three, one of whom was flown to the University of Louisville Hospital.

According to the Kentucky State Police Report, Mitchell Guffey, 27, Glasgow, was traveling eastbound on Kentucky 90, and made a left turn into the path of a 2004 Nissan, traveling west, operated by Tina Collins, 35, Burkesville.



Guffey, who was belted, refused treatment at the scene.

Collins, age 35 , who had a seatbelt in use, was admitted to the Cumberland County Hospital.

Two passengers in the Collins vehicle were admitted to hospital. Mary Stephenson, 50, Burkesville, was admitted to Cumberland County Hospital. Barbara Moore, 53, Burkesville was flown to the University of Louisville Hospital. Moore did not have a seatbelt in use.

The accident was investigated by Trooper Nathan Cary of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY.
