Friends HELPING Friends fundraiser for Jaremy, Aug. 11, all day A full day of events are plan to raise much need funds for severely injured veteran, Columbia Utilities Commission computer mapping worker. Jaremy Austin is a decorated veteran of the Iraq War. He was severely injured in a motorcycle accident near Barren River Lake on July 4, 2007, and is now in Vanderbilt Hospital in Nashville. A major all-day fundraiser for the Iraqi War veteran will be held August 11, 2007, at the Adair County Fairgrounds. The day begins at 7:00 a.m with a Yard Sale and Pancake Breakfast and continuing with events all day long, ending with an auction at 6:00pm. A motorcycle poker run, with a first place prize of $200 will be held, and a Bug Run with a split pot will be included. Jaremy works at Columbia Utilities in the computer mapping department. The CUC's Steven Baker is heading up the fundraising effort for their colleague. The August 11 Friends Helping Friends schedule follows: 7:00am CT: Yard Sale and pancake breakfast at the Fairgrounds. Donations accepted The Dream Depot cast will perform, and there will be a 50/50 drawing with door prizes to be given away.
