Letter: Regardless of size of gift, nothing will go unappreciated

Help for UK Children's Hospital can come from more than one effort
To the editor, CM:

In response to Thirza Peevey's letter about helping the families at UK, I wanted to say I am so glad there are churches and organizations that want to make a difference.

When you personally experience what it's like to be a parent of a sick child, it changes your perspective tremendously. For moms like her and myself, I am sure that is where our motivation to help others like us comes from.

I am sure my efforts will not be quite as big as those of a large church, but I wouldn't have expected them to be.

I wanted to let you know that I had spoken with the Child Life Program as well and I am aware of the steps I need to take to arrange for these items to be donated to the PICU familes.

It is not as formal as it is for organizations organizations that commit to do something on an ongoing basis. However big or small, all things will not go unappreciated.

Thanks again
