One-vehicle accident takes life of Marion County man

A one vehicle accident Monday afternoon resulted in the death of a Marion County resident, Leonard T. Riley III, 34, of Finley.

Riley was pronounced dead at the scene by Marion County Coroner Dick Maraja. The accident occurred approximately three miles west of Lebanon on KY 1195 (Shortline Pike) at 4:20pmET/3:30pmCT, July 16, 2007.



Riley was operating a 1998 Nissan Maxima 4D, northbound, when he apparentlylost control in a curve, left the roadway, and struck a bridge.

No passengers were in the vehicle. A seat belt was not in use.

Trooper T. Gregory of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, investigated the accident.
