A story in the Somerset online daily newspaper gives an account of a valiant effort to save drowning victim, an effort which narrowly failed: "Bronston man drowns in Wayne County" by Sharon Dodson, was posted the at 9:15pmET/8:15 pm CT, July 13, 2007, Somerset online edition of the Commonwealth Journal

A story in the Russell Springs, KY, Times Journal Online by Greg Wells, has a headline reminiscent of the kind legendary TJ editor Andrew Norfleet used to write: "Man on bender bends fender" which is complete with a photo and an entry with an Adair County connection. CM carried the story earlier, but the account was not so complete as this one.

And at the Glasgow Daily Times.com there's a interview with a Gamaliel woman, a teacher in Monroe County, who was sentenced this past week for fleeing to Mexico with a 14-year-old boy: "Comer spins different tale".
