2007 Adair County Fair: Saturday at the Fair (ADV) Important, entertaining health news, "Them Bones" by Dr. Anne Yeary Burton (ADV) By Sean Hitchcock The big Adair County Fair was concluded last night with the Flatts, Josh and Darry, dominating the Big Car Demolition Derby and the names of three big cash winners were announced.The winners in the $10,000 drawing were:
Cutlines for them, each of which tells a story, are below (or, scroll down the page to see all the pictures now: Eloise Jeffries is recognized at the 2007 Adair County Fair by the Adair County Jaycees and Fair Association with an award at the judges stand Saturday night, July 14, for her many years of support to the Adair County Fair as a vendor and concessionaire. Jeffries has been participating at the Fair now for 41 years, and has only missed one during this time. Ive loved every year being here with all the customers, Jaycees and people of Adair County. God bless everyone, Jeffries said after accepting her award. Pictured with her, and presenting the award, is Jaycee Terry Moore. Adair County Jaycee for 40 years and 1971 Fair president, Billy Rowe, spins the barrel of entries for the drawings of the cash giveaways at the 2007 Adair County Fair, July 14. This years $5000 winner is Rays Big Top Tent of Louisville, who provides the tents for the Fair. Second place winner of $3000 is Richard Swartz of Columbia. Third place winner of $2000 is Ruth Smith of Columbia, who is a waitress at Bettys OK Country Cooking Restaurant. Chad Price and his daughter, Amy Price, 4, of Sparksville, take one more stroll down the midway Saturday, July 14, at the 2007 Adair County Fair before the show comes to a close for another year. The 2007 Adair County Fair Demolition Derby big-car champion is Josh Flatt. Flatt is a three-time demolition derby champ and receives a trophy and a check for $2000 Saturday night, July 14, for his victory. The younger generation has arrived, Flatt said.
