Obituary: Donald E. Price, 80, Liberty businessman

Mr. Price well known in south central Kentucky. He was a retired USPS Mail Carrier and a veteran of World War II
Donald E. Price, 80, Liberty, KY died Friday, July 13, 2007, at Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center in Danville, KY.

The funeral service will be Sunday, July 15, 207, at 2:00pmET/1:00pmCT, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, 752 Campbellsville ST, Liberty, KY, with Bro. Jimmy Brown the officiating clergy. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery in Casey County.



He was born Mary 12, 1927, in Casey County, the son of John F. and Mae Peyton Price.

Mr. Price was a retired USPS Mail Carrier and a self-employed businessman. He was a member of Liberty First Baptist Church and was a veteran of WWII. He was also a member of Craftsman Lodge #722.

He is survived by his wife, Ruth Richards Price, and the following:
  • Two daughters: Susan Bernardi, Russell Springs, KY; and Donna Ledford, Liberty, KY

  • Two sons: Danny and David Price, both of Liberty, KY
  • Eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
  • And one sister: Nancy Wesley, Atlanta, GA.
  • He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son, and a brother, Jack Price

    Visitation will be Saturday, July 14, 2007, from 6pmET/5pmCT until 9pmET/8pmCT at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home, Liberty, KY.

    McKinney-Brown Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
