ATV riders injured in collision with truck

A collision between a 4-wheeler with three teenage riders and a truck resulted in three Russell Countians onboard the ATV being taken to hospital.

The accident occured Sunday afternoon about one-half mile down Chestnut Corner Road.



The ATV was operated by a 17 year old and was carrying two other teenage passengers. All were residents of Russell Springs.

The ATV met the truck, driven by Roy Wilson, 55, Columbia, KY, KY on a hill crest and the two vehicles collided, head-on.

The driver and one of the passengers were transported to Westlake Regional Hospital by Adair County EMS, and one was later transported to Louisville. One passenger was taken to Russell County Hospital by private vehicle, where she was treated and released.

The driver of the truck was unhurt.

The accident was investigated by the Adair County Sheriff's Department, Ralph Curry, Sheriff. 500 Public Square, Columbia, KY.
