Adair driver injured following collision in wrong lane of LBN

Was westbound in the eastbound lane in pickup; collided with Freightliner, KSP report says

A two car injury accident occurred this morning, Thursday, June 5, 2007, at 10:30am CT, two miles east of Russell Springs on the Louie B. Nunn Parkway.

Harris L. Loy, 78, Glensfork, KY, was treated at the Russell County Hospital following a collision with a 2007 Freightliner operated by Eugene G. Smith, 33, Franklin, OH.



Loy was westbound in the eastbound land when he collided with the Freightliner, which was eastbound in the eastbound lane.

Smith had a seatbelt in use and was not injured. Harris Loy seatbelt use was unknown.

Loy was cited to appear for DUI.

Trooper Mike Woodrum of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, investigated the accident.
