The story centers on phone calls by Jerry Anderson to the Caldwell County NC Sheriff's Department which raised suspicions about his involvement. According to the story in the News-Topic the trial will resume Monday, July 2, 2007, at 9:30amET/8:30amCT. Jerry Anderson is facing a possible death sentence if his his convicted on charges of murdering his wife, Adair Countian Emily Griffitt Anderson. Jerry Anderson is originally from the Bearwallow Ridge community in Cumberland County, KY. Emily Griffitt Anderson was raised in Adair County, who lived at Cane Valley and worked in Columbia prior to moving with her husband to Sawmills, NC, to operate Carolina Holsteins, a large dairy operation. Emily Griffitt Anderson was reported missing in December, 2005. Her body was found a few days later, on January 7, 2007, in South Carolina. Jerry Anderson was arrested shortly afterward.
