Emily Griffitt Anderson murder: Jury hears weapons testimony

Testimony in the capital murder trial of Jerry Anderson centered around possible evidence tampering and about the type of weapon used in the murder of Emily Griffitt Anderson.

Jerry Anderson, originally from Bearwallow Ridge in Cumberland County, is on trial in Gastonia, NC, for the December 2005 murder of his wife, Adair Countian Emily Griffitt Anderson, recently a resident of Cane Valley, KY.

A story this morning, Friday, June 29, 2007, from the trial in Gastonia, NC relates testimoney on the gun used in the murder: "Gun analysis most consistent with Remington brandBullet came from one of possible eight guns, SBI agent says" by Jennifer Menster, Hickory, NC, dated Friday, June 29, 2007.



A story posted late last night, Thursday, June 28, 2007, by the Lenoir, NC, News-Topic tells of a worker being instructed to change a date on a filter change. It's "Worker changed filter dates" by Linda Payne, datelined Thursday, June 28, 2007, at 11:21pmET/10:21pmCT.

According to the latter story, the trial resumed again this morning at 9:30amET/8:30amCT.
