Ann gets guardrails for 2 locations, asks for 9 more installations State has already given 100 feet of replaced guardrails from Campbellsville Road for installation in Districts 1 and 5; Judge Melton is requesting guardrails at nine more danger spots By Ed Waggener Judge Ann Melton thinks more guardrails up on Adair County Roads would go a long way to protecting travellers in Adair County, and she's asking the Kentucky Department of Highways to lend a hand to get them in place. Some are already on their way, to take care of two situations, but Judge Melton is asking the state for guardrails for nine additional locations on roads in Districts 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Already, she's obtained about 100 feet in a separate request. "The state is giving us some refurbished guardrails, which were replaced on 55 north," she said. These will be re-installed by the county in two places: 1) On Stone Cemetery Road in District 5 near Portland, and 2) on the Christine-Sano Road in District 1, not far from the Grassy Springs Bridge. There's about 100 feet available for these locations. The nine locations are under another Kentucky Highway Department program, with the State doing the installation work. Judge Melton is asking for guardrails at these points:
