ACHS has five 2007 Governor's Scholars

Five Adair County students have received one of Kentucky's top academic honors by being named Governor's Scholars this year.

They are Bonnie Cheng, Seth Coomer, Les Herbst, Katie Luckey, and Hannah Peck.

Four of the Adair County High School students, Bonnie Cheng, Seth Coomer, Les Herbst, and Katie Luckey, are currently at Bellarmine University campus in Louisville.

Hannah Peck was selected to attend the Governor's Scholars program on the campus of The Centre College of Kentucky, in Danville.

The programs are five weeks long, and cover a broad range of academic and cultural subjects. Students are selected on the basis of academic achievements, leadership qualities, and must be highly recommended.

Governor's Scholars attend the summer programs between their junior and senior years of high school.
