Feedback: Reader wants to know more about Melsons, church

To the Editor, ColumbiaMagazine.com:

I would like to know if there are any Melson's in this region still. These are part of my grandfather, Paul Clifford Melson's family and he grew up here.

Would love to know more about the community and the church.

God bless and thank you.

I am the daughter of Marshall Eugene Melson, Sr. son of the late Paul and Josephine Spencer Melson. Thank you.

ANSWER: Yes, the family is still quite prominent in Adair County. Hopefully, your letter will prompt some contributions about this fine, mostly South Adair County, family. Also, if you enter "Melson" in the searchbox, a number of articles and photos are found in the story and photo archives of ColumbiaMagazine.com. -Ed Waggener.
