Six from Adair on CU 2007 Spring Academic Honors Lists

Campbellsville University Vice President for Academic Affairs Frank D Cheatham has announced the academic honors' list for the spring 2007 semester, which includes six students from Adair County, one of whom earned President's List honors.



CU PRESIDENT'S LIST students from Adair County
  • Phyllis Magdalene McLean, a sophomore from Columbia, KY
CU DEAN'S LIST students from Adair County
  • Benjamin Adam Davis, a post-baccalaureate student from Glens Fork
  • Debbie Lynn Holcomb, a junior from Knifley
  • Adam Lee Cravens, junior, Columbia
  • Laura Kenise Grant, junior, Columbia
  • Jennifer Hope Johnson, senior, Columbia
The academic honors' list recognizes students who achieve a grade point average of 3.50 or above for the semester with a course load of at least 12 hours.

The spring 2007 academic honors' list includes a total of 397 students, with 140 achieving a 4.0 grade point average and having been named to the President's List.

Others who have achieved a grade point average of 3.5-3.99 are named to the Dean's List; there are 257 named to that list.
Campbellsville University, now celebrating her Centennial year, is a private, comprehensive institution located in South Central Kentucky. Founded in 1906, Campbellsville University is affiliated with the Kentucky Baptist Convention and has an enrollment of 2,310 students who represent 100 Kentucky counties, 32 states and 28 foreign nations. Listed in U.S. News & World Report's "America's Best Colleges" 14 consecutive years as one of the leading Southern master's colleges and universities, Campbellsville University is located 82 miles southwest of Lexington, Ky., and 80 miles southeast of Louisville, Ky. Dr. Michael V. Carter is in his eighth year as president.
