Surprise birthday party for Lyle Smith

Two photos with this story
Lifetime friends and family conspired to surprise Lyle Smith, Cane Valley, on his 87th birthday.

The party took place on Sunday, June 3, 2007, and hosted by Sandy Rogers.

The buddies, who went through school together, were all in World War II, and who have remained closed down through the years are Joe Rusell Barbee, Alfred Flowers, and Sam Pelly.

They all attended, as did family and friends including Mary Pelly; Joe, Sandy, and Cassie Rogers, Jackie and Brenda Bardin, Alecia Greer, Mike and Lana Glasgow; and Steve, Lisa, and Kevin Riley.
