Chief Harris issues May 2007 CPD activity report Columbia Police Chief Mark D. Harris has issued the activity report for the department for May 2007. The report shows that 104 citations were issued and that the department answered 484 calls for service in May. The report does not include parking citations; that report will be issued at tonight's City Council meeting, Chief Harris said. New parking tickets are being printed, Chief Harris said, which has delayed the crackdown on illegal parking on in the downtown area. "Tracking the numbers some of the council members want also delayed the activity report for parking," he added. A new safety officer is expected to be hired to take care of parking enforcement, but Chief Harris wasn't sure if that would be done tonight or not. The details of the activity, not including parking citations, follows: Columbia Police Department Municipal Building, Columbia, Kentucky 42728 Telephone ( 270 ) - 384 - 4119 Fax ( 270 ) - 384 - 6211 E-Mail : www.chiefofpolice@cityofcolumbiaky.com ALPHABETICAL CITITATION TOTALS CodeK.R.S.
