  • DEATHS: In 1975, Steve Prefontaine, runner who was born with one leg shorter than the other and who was killed in a traffic accident at age 24. His life story was made into two moves, Prefontaine (1997) and Without Limits (1998), as well as a documentary, "Fire on the Track"

KY 92 is closed 1.6 miles east of KY 55 for construction of a new bridge over Cedar Creek. But it is expected to be open around June 10-12, Amy Mitchum, a spokesperson for Garrison Construction Co, said yesterday. Four 28,0000 lb., 39 ft. concrete beams were installed for the floor of the bridge yesterday, May 21, 2007.
