June, July special events at ACP Library

Mysteries program, special Summer Reading programs, and much more schedule for June and July at Adair County Public Library

The Adair County Public Library would like to invite everyone to join in and "Get a Clue @ Your Library" this summer.Your public library has many events scheduled for all ages! This year's summer reading kicks off the first week in June with Secret Codes & Ciphers. The schedule is as follows:


  • (Tuesdays) June 5th, 12th, 19th - Grades 3-5 10:00am CT

  • (Wednesdays) June 6th, 13th, 20th - Preschool -2nd Grade 10:00am CT

  • (Thursdays) June 7th, 14th, 21st Grades 6th and up 10:00am CT
On June 27, 2007, all groups will be meeting to see "Night at the Museum." This program will start at 10:00am CT.

Also during the month of June, teens are invited to come on Wednesdays from 4:30 until 5:30 pm CT for special mystery programs.

Bookmobile schedule

Your Adair County bookmobile is also scheduled to be in different areas of the county providing programs to all children in June and July.

On June 8th and July 6th the bookmobile will be at Baker's Grocery in Knifley at 10:00am CT.

On June 15th and July 13th the bookmobile will be at Highlands Raku Studio in Sparksville at 10:00am CT.

On June 22nd and July 20th the bookmobile will be in the Glensfork area on Road 900 at the Stick Harmon Farm at 10:00am CT.

June 29th and July 27th the bookmobile will be at the Tabernacle Church on Highway 206 at 10:00am CT.

Programs will continue into July with the schedule below:
  • July 5th 10:00am CT (all ages may attend)
  • July 11th -"Get A Clue @ the Adair County Fair." Summer Reading will be at the fair for Kids Day.
  • July 17th - Animal Gambil Program at 5:00pm CT. at the library
  • July 18th Story Hour at 10:0am CT
  • July 25th Story Hour at 10:00am
  • July 26th 10:00am CT (all ages may attend)
For more information on any of these programs, please call the library at 270-384-2472. You may aslo pick up schedules at the library. We want everyone to read this summer!!
