Sue Stivers receives UK Centennial Laureate Award Photo with this article Sue Stivers, now Executive Director of the Columbia-Adair County Chamber of Commerce, was recognized recently with the Centennial Laureate Award for her distinguished service in the last century. It is but yet another acknowledgement of her contribution to her profession and the Adair County community. Past, present, and future came together when honorees gathered for the Centennial Celebration of the University of Kentucky School of Human Envirionmental Sciences. During the celebration, which include an awards ceremony and luncheon, the school paid tribute to individuals' contributions with the Centennial Laureate Award, the future 100 Award or the Centennial Erikson Society Medallion. Of all the medallions presented that day, the Centennial Laureate award received by Stivers most represents the span of work and achievement that has sprung from Human Environmental Sciences over the past century. The alumni, faculty and staff who were honored, including Stivers, have contributed in the professional or volunteer work to the development of individuals, families, officials, corporate leaders, teachers, education superintendents, researchers and people involved with Cooperative Extension as health car. Stivers has worked in all these areas, in one one or another. From an article by Carol L. Spence This story was posted on 2007-05-29 07:38:20
