Beautiful Sunday provided for Memorial Day Service

Four photos accompany this article

The annual VFW Post 6097 Memorial Day observance drew some 60 people Sunday for one of the community's most beautiful services.

VFW Post Commander Jimmy Luttrell said that he was pleased with the turnout, especially considering the large number of other activities scheduled for the day.

Member Fred Troutman emceed the event. The principal speaker was Post Chaplain JaDell Janes.



This year, VFW Post 6097 Ladies Auxiliary's First Chaplain Mary Curry also spoke. The Ladies Auxiliary was just formed in the Spring of 2007.
