Feedback: Group home employees need better pay, training To the editor, ColumbiaMagazine.com Because of all of the problems at the Oakwood facility in Somerset, problems in group homes are now being focused on more; this is a good thing. I am very upset when I hear about a group home resident being victimized, but am also distressed at the thought that young, relatively untrained, and underpaid employees may have their lives ruined. I am advocating for better training and better pay for employees of group homes. Better pay will not make a violent person turn non-violent, but it will increase the pool of applicants for such jobs. s/Daniel Phillips Click here to read article to which Mr. Phillips is responding.
