Obituary: Lewis Kenneth Pendleton, 83, WWII veteran

Mr. Pendleton, a native of Adair County, was a member of Charity Baptist Church.

Lewis Kenneth Pendleton, 83, Greenwood, IN, died Thursday, May 17, 2007, at Johnson Memorial Hospital in Greenwood.

The funeral service will be Friday, May 18, 2007, at 3:00pm, at Jessen Funeral Home in Whiteland, IN, with visitation from 12 noon until service time.



A native of Adair County, he was a son of the late Ollie and Martha Gaskins Pendleton.

He was a member of the Charity Baptist Church and a US Navy Veteran of World War II. He was retired from Standard Brand after 34 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and Nascar racing.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Pendleton.

He is survived by the following:
  • Two sisters, Ruby Dean English, Campbellsville, KY; and Ruth and her husband Eddie Hutchison of Columbia, KY

  • Three brothers: Carl and his wife Wanda Pendleton, Bobby and his wife Sandra Pendleton, and Vidus and his wife Nina Pendleton, all of Franklin, IN.

  • And several nieces and nephews
Burial will be Saturday, May7 19, 2007, at 1:00pm at Memorial Gardens in Campbellsville, KY.
