Governor will appear at 3 venues in Columbia today Adair County Judge Executive Ann Melton's office has announced the schedule for today's visit to Columbia today. At 10:45am CT, the Governor will be at the Groundbreaking ceremonies at Adair County Elementary School (ACES). A tree planting is sandwiched in following the groundbreaking, then the Governor will appear at a purely political affair at the Adair County Fairgrounds at 11:45am CT. 1) Groundbreaking Program at ACES
Following the groundbreaking ceremony, Gov. Fletcher will go to the Adair County Schools Arboretum for a tree-planting hosted by Arlinda Kessler of the Adair County Extension Service. "Governor Fletcher will plant a winesap apple tree," she said. Produce from the arboretum and garden projects go to the Adair County Food Pantry, starting this year, Kessler said. 3. Politcal rally, free hotdog roast at AC Fairgrounds Following the event, Governor Fletcher will board his big brown campaign bus to ride across town to the Adair County Fairgrounds for a one-hour, free, noontime (11:45am CT) hotdog roast and political rally.
