Obituary: James E. Dohoney, member Mt. Gilead Christian Church

Mr. Dohoney was a retired farmer and painter

James E. Dohoney, age 75 years, of 1922 Cedar Grove Road, Greensburg, KY, in Adair County, passed away Sunday, May 6, 2007 at 10:00am CT at Westlake Regional Hospital Columbia, KY.

He was born March 18, 1932, the son of the late Jim and Parrie Lee Blakeman Dohoney and was preceded in death by his wife, Loraine McAllister Dohoney, on April 20, 1979.



He is survived by the following:
  • Two daughters: Patricia Stapp and her husband Jimmy, and Dianne McClister, all of Columbia, KY

  • Four grandchildren: Chasity, Sabrina, Brysin and Jayvion

  • Two great granchildren: Kobe and Savon

  • And several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Opal Roy.

Mr. Dohoney was a member of Mt. Gilead Christian Church, a retired farmer and painter.

The funeral service Tuesday, May 8, 2007, at 1:00pm at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, with Bro. Glenn McInteer and Bro. Darrell Landis the officiating clergy.

Interment will be in Milltown Cemetery

Visitation will be at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY, after 4:30pm CT on Monday, May 7, 2007.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home in charge of funeral arrangements.
