Circle R adds Wi-Fi and all you can eat buffet

2007-04-21 - Russell Road, Columbia, KY - Photo By Ed Waggener.
The Circle R's Beth Butler starts a plate with fried chicken at the restaurant's all you can eat buffet. The buffet features as many as four meats, a wide variety of vegetables and salad items, and a choice of desserts. David Hawkins, owner of the Circle R, said the restaurant is quickly building business. "We've gone from four Penn's Hams a week to 10," he said. Ham and fried chicken are a Circle R tradition, but the buffet and steaks and prime rib is new. "We're the steak house of Columbia now," Hawkins said. "Nobody has ever told us they didn't like the the steaks." On Tuesday, the restaurant added Wi-Fi, to allow customers internet access; it's even a place to read ColumbiaMagazine.com.
