Single vehicle fatality occurs on KY 76 late last night

A 1992 Toyoto pickup, operated by Edith Goodin Adams, 51, St. Petersbrug, FL, left the roadway on KY 76, overturned, and struck a tree, resulting in the death of the driver and injuries which required the airlifting of a passenger, Edwin V. Wilber, 43, Knifley, KY to the University of Louisville Hospital.

Kentucky State Police received a call at approximately 10:09pm last night, Thursday, April 19, 2007, about the crash. The location given was 14 miles east of Columbia, KY.

Edith Goodin Adams was pronounced dead at the scene by Coroner Rick Wilson. Edwin V. Wilber is listed in critical condition.



The driver was belted, her passenger was not. Both occupants had to be extricated from the vehicle.

Trooper Andy Olson of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY, is investigating the accident.
