Minor injury accident occurs Tuesday night at Abrell Rd. A accident occurred nine miles east of Columbia at the junction of the West Sulphur Creek Road and Abrell Road and resulted in minor injuries to the two drivers. The collision occured at 9:00pm CT, Tuesday night. Kim Abrell, 24, Columbia, traveling north on West Sulphur Creek Road in a 1999 Dodge Durango, when she slowed down to turn into Abrell Road. Abrell's vehicle entered the path of a 1992 Buick being driven by Paul J. Abrell, 27, Columbia, KY. Neither driver was wearing a seatbelt. Both were treated at and released from Westlake Regional Hospital. The incident was investigated by Trooper Donnie Richmond of Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY.
