Today: Periods of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4pm. High near 67. South wind between 10 and 17 mph, with gusts as high as 28 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Tonight: Periods of showers and thunderstorms before 7pm, then periods of showers and possibly a thunderstorm between 7pm and 11pm, then periods of showers, mainly between 11pm and 1am. Low around 49. South wind 6 to 9 mph becoming northwest. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Adair County Road Department Work
Monday, March 19, 2007: The Adair County Road Department is working on the Grassy Springs Bridge in District 1, and installing tiles on the Blue Branch Road District 1, and hauling rock to Blue Branch Road.To contact Adair County Road Department: Administrative Assistant Lisa Lee in Adair County Judge Executive Ann Melton's office: (270) 384-4703.

What's next?: The bid date for the Western Bypass around Columbia is now set for April 20, 2007.Kentucky's Six-Year Plan Project information map shows more orange, the color codes for construction projects awarded. Newest ones which are now orange are the paving contract for the Louie B. Nunn, awarded to Gaddie-Shamrock and bridge replacements on KY 80 over Russell Creek and on KY 92 over Cedar Creek, near Joppa. One may detect the yellow on the Western Bypass flickering toward orange, but that highly anticipated award is still highly anticipated but should change in a month to six weeks. Wolf Creek Dam
