Lindsey Wilson Cycling: Tomorrow. It's a huge event coming up is the Green River Road Race, with events over a 25 mile course starting and ending at Purdy SBIC on KY 206 and going through Christine, across Snake Ridge Road to Absher, up KY 551 Knifley, on Elkhorn Road across Dunbar Hill, by Spout Springs and through Edith, through Neatsville, Eunice, and Ella and back to Purdy. The event on Saturday, March 17, 2007, is expected to draw a huge crowd from eight different states. Typically, events of this size draw 1,500 and up.

Work on the paving of new KY 61 Friday, March 15, 2007. The repaving is close to done on KY 61 through Grider Hill Pass. Travel has been very easy through the construction zone. Yesterday, the paving was almost complete, with lanes open continously open from the interchange to the Public Square.

Adair County Road Department Work
From Lisa Lee March 15, 2007: The Adair County Road Department will be working on the Grassy Springs Bridge in District 1. What's next?: The bid date for the Western Bypass around Columbia is now set for April 20, 2007.Kentucky's Six-Year Plan Project information map shows more orange, the color codes for construction projects awarded. Newest ones which are now orange are the paving contract for the Louie B. Nunn, awarded to Gaddie-Shamrock and bridge replacements on KY 80 over Russell Creek and on KY 92 over Cedar Creek, near Joppa. One may detect the yellow on the Western Bypass flickering toward orange, but that highly anticipated award is still highly anticipated but should change in a month to six weeks.
