March 18, 2007 officially begins Adair Co. Boys Basketball Week

Adair County Judge Executive Ann Melton and Columbia Mayor Pat Bell signed a proclamation today, Thursday, March 15, 2007, declaring the week of March 15, 2007, "Adair County Boy's Basketball Week."

The boys team will make the school's fourth appearance in it's history at the opening game of the Sweet Sixteen at Rupp Arena, Lexington, KY, on Wednesday, March 21, 2007, at noon eastern time, agains Lincoln County High School, Stanford, KY.




PROCLAMATION
WHEREAS, the Adair County Boys Basketball team will appear in the 2007 State High School Basketball Tournament in Lexington, following an impressive win over John Hardin High School.

WHEREAS, it will be the fourth State Tournament for Adair County following appearances in 1954, 1955, and 1995.

WHEREAS, Fifth Region Champions Adair County High School will play Lincoln County in the opening game of the Kentucky State High School Basketball Tournament in Lexington on Wednesday, March 21, 2007. WHEREAS, all Adair Countians should show their support for the Adair County Boys Basketball Team, and let them know we are behind them 100%.

NOW, THEREFORE, WE, Ann Melton, Judge/Executive of Adair County, and Pat Bell, Mayor of Columbia, do hereby proclaim the week of March 18th to be:

ADAIR COUNTY BOYS BASKETBALL WEEK
