Rotary auction rescheduled for March 19, 20, 22, 2007 Auction this year is March 19, 20, and 22, 20007. "The list of good items continues to grow," George Kolbenschlag reports By Kay Bowman (Because the Adair County High School Boys Basketball team continues winning in the 5th Region Basketball Tournament, the Columbia Rotary Auction has been re-scheduled) The Columbia Rotary Auction is an annual charitable event to raise money for scholarships. The event is now in its 15th year and the Columbia Rotary Club has raised well over $100,000.00 for funds donated to Lindsey Wilson College in Columbia. These donations have been made with the restriction that the money can only be used for scholarships for deserving local high school graduates, as well as one GED graduate. The Auction is generally held in February or March of each year. It is simultaneously broadcast into a 12 county region by WAIN radio (93.5 FM) in Columbia and WHVE radio (92.7 FM) in Russell Springs. The event covers a period of three nights from 6:00pm to 9:00pm CT each night. This year's event have been re-scheduled for the nights of March 19th, 20th, and 22nd. Local merchants, business people and professionals alike have generously donated merchandise and services in the past to help the Columbia Rotary Club raise scholarship funds through this event. Donations are greatly needed for this Auction, which will give you great on-air exposure for each item donated. And don't forget to listen and participate to the Auction on March 19,20 and 22, 2007 for some great buys.
