Obituary: Clarence L. Karnes, 74

Mr. Karnes was a retired truck driver who lived in Leitchfield a the time of his death. Burial will be in Bearwallow Cemetery

Clarence L. Karnes, 74 years of Leitchfield, KY, formerly of Adair County passed away Thursday, March 8, 2007, at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.

The funeral service will be Sunday, March 11, 2007 at 1:00pm, at Watkins-Oller Funeral Home in Leitchfield, KY. A graveside service will be Sunday afternoon March 11, 2007, at 4:00pm CT at Bearwallow Cemetery, Liberty Road, Columbia, KY.



He was the son of the late Robert and Dora Sinclair Karnes.

He is survived by his wife Juanita Karnes of Leitchfield, KY and the following:
  • Two sons David Karnes of Leitchfield, Ky. & Stephan Karnes of Hodgenville, KY

  • One daughter: Shelia Miller, Leitchfield, KY

  • One sister: Dorothy Buescher, Columbia, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Casey Karnes and Becca Mauldin
He was preceded in death by two brothers. Osby Bear Karnes, Sr., and Robert "Dude" Karnes, Jr.

Clarence Karnes was a retired truck driver for Cato Express.

Visitation will be after 2:00pm, Saturday, March 10, at the funeral home in Leitchfield, KY.
