  • Columbia P&Z meets at 6:00pm with hearing on Bank District annexation zoning at which public can speak. P&Z then meets in regular session to vote on Bank District and to consider the final Holladay Place Super Wal-Mart site plans.

Daylight Savings TimeDaylight Savings Time begins on Sunday, March 11, 2007, at 2:00am, three weeks earlier than it usually does. It will end one week later than normal, on November 4, 2007.

Sports Briefs
Adair County Boys Basketball Adair County has a great chance to go to the State Tournament this year. The team's next game is in the Fifth Regional Tournament at Central Hardin, on Thursday, March 8, 2007. The game will pit Adair County against Larue County High School. LWC Tennis Pablo Castanon has been named Mid-South Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Week. Castanon is a Buenos Aires, Argentina, native in his senior year at Lindsey Wilson College.

LWC Golf: Lindsey Wilson Women's Golf Coach Chris Wells has signed Lafayette (la-FAY-ette), TN golf standout Chelsey Key to play for Lindsey Wilson starting with the 2007-2008 school year. Key was the first female golfer to play at Macon County High School.

Lindsey Wilson Cycling: Next big event is the Green River Road Race, with events over a 25 mile course starting and ending at Purdy SBIC on KY 206 and going through Christine, Absher, Knifley, across Dunbar Hill, Neatsville, Eunice, and Ella. The event on Saturday, March 17, 2007, is expected to draw hundreds from several states.

What's next?:Kentucky's Six-Year Plan Project information map shows more orange, the color codes for construction projects awarded. Newest ones which are now orange are the paving contract for the Louie B. Nunn, awarded to Gaddie-Shamrock and bridge replacements on KY 80 over Russell Creek and on KY 92 over Cedar Creek, near Joppa. One may detect the yellow on the Western Bypass flickering toward orange, but that highly anticipated award is still highly anticipated but should change in a month to six weeks.
