Mr. Produce Man will be at Read Adair, March 5

Daycares and schools may start sending in photos with a 6 ft tall character dripping with bushels of produce, named "Mr. Produce Man."

The costume is being worn by Arlinda Kessler with the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service. Mr. Produce man is made up with 135 servings of fruits and vegetables.

Mr. Produce Man is here to spread the word of the importance of eating 5 servings of fruits and vegetables a day. He dances to an energizing song that gets the children on their feet. "1-2-3-4-5-A-Day, That's the Fruit and Vegetable WAY!"

This is a great way to help the children learn what they need to be eating.

I have really enjoyed sharing Mr. Produce with Adair County. He will be at Read Adair County on, Monday, March 5, 2007.

For families interested in the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program contact Arlinda Kessler at the Adair County Cooperative Extension Service at (270) 384-2317. -ARLINDA KESSLER.
