KSP Post 15 issues activity report for February 2007

Fatalities down for period sharply in KSP area, slightly in KY

Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY,


During the month of February 2007, there were 65 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington.

There was one fatality:



MARTHA L. GOLDEN, Springfield, Kentucky was killed in Washington County on 02/19/07.

This brings our yearly fatality count to one compared with five through this same period in 2006.

State wide fatality count stands at 96 compared with 109 through this same period in 2006.

During the month of February 2007, there were 1,494 citations written, 349 courtesy notices written, 1,780 vehicles inspected, 898 complaints answered, 68 motorists assisted, 47 criminal cases opened and 264 criminal arrests made.
