Raffle of 07 Mustang benefits Trooper Island

Chances on Mustang are $10 each. Profits will help camp for disadvantaged children

By Trooper Dwaine Barnett
Public Affairs Officer, KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY

This year marks the 42nd anniversary of Trooper Island Camp. Since it was established in 1965, the summer camp for disadvantaged children has grown and thrived.

I consider this a remarkable achievement given that it is a non-profit agency. Many years of hard work by KSP troopers and civilians and the charitable nature of citizens, organizations and our own personnel has made this possible.

One of our biggest Trooper Island fundraisers, the sale of tickets to raffle a 2007 Ford Mustang GT Convertible has begun. Fifteen thousand tickets are being distributed to KSP Officers and civilian employees.

The cost of each ticket will be $10.00 and can be obtained by contacting Trooper Dwaine Barnett or any KSP Officer at 270-384-4796.
