Obituary: Ronald Weldon Cape, 69, retired school bus driver

Mr. Cape was a member of Glens Fork Church of the Nazarene and a longtime employee of the Adair Co. School system

Ronald Weldon Cape, 69, 320 Gentry Mill Road, Russell Springs, KY, died February 19, 2007, at 3:26pm, at the Ephraim McDowell Medical Center Emergency Room in Danville, KY.

The funeral service will be Thursday, February 22, 2007, at 11:00am CT, at Grissom Funeral Home, Columbia, KY, with Bro. Jay Damron officiating.



He was the son of the late Ivy and Polly Bunch Cape, a member of Glens Fork Church of the Nazarene, and was retired from the Adair County School system, where he was a bus driver for over 20 years.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Evelyn Pierce Cape, Russell Springs, KY, and the following:
  • One son and daughter-in-law: Jeffrey Neal and Pamela Cape, Reed, KY

  • One sister: Pauline Grant, Glens Fork, KY

  • One grandson: Andrew Dylan Cape, Burkesville, KY

  • Three step grandchildren: Renee Knight and husband Jason, Grayville, IL; Brian Campbell and wife Lori, West Salem, IL; Eugene Conner and wife, Courtney, Grayville, IL

  • And three step great-grandchildren: Allison and Olivia Knight, and Alora Campbell
Burial will be in Burchett Cemetery in Cundiff, KY.

Visitation will be after 4:00pm CT, Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at Grissom Funeral Home, 200 Campbellsville ST, Columbia, KY.

Grissom Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
