Fletcher Administration officials to inspect Burnside ramp

FRANKFORT, Ky. Officials from Governor Ernie Fletchers office, the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and the Commerce Cabinet will examine work to extend the boat ramp at General Burnside Island State Park.

Governor Fletcher ordered the extension after the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers lowered the level of Lake Cumberland. Without the extension the ramp would be unusable by boaters.

Stan Cave, chief of staff for Governor Fletcher, Commerce Secretary George Ward and Highways Commissioner Marc Williams will be on-site at the General Burnside Island State Boat Ramp, 8801 South Highway 27, Burnside, KY, on Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at 10am ET.

Media representatives are encouraged to attend.
