Obituary: Stephen L. Budzisz, 61, Vietnam Veteran

He was a member of Sparksville Baptist Church. Military honors will be presented by Columbia VFW Post 6097.

Stephen L. Budzisz, 61, 238 Blue Ridge Circle, Columbia, KY, passed away Sunday, February 18, 2007, at 7:44am at Norton Suburban Hospital in Louisville, KY.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, February 21, 2007, at 1:00pm CT, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Landis the officiating clergy.



He was the son of the late Stephen and Peggy McCoy Budzisz.

He is survived by the following:
  • Two sons: Dale Todd Budzisz and his wife Tamara, Louisville, KY; and Troy Todd Budzisz, Columbia, KY

  • Two grandchildren: Amy and Austin Budzisz

  • One aunt: Frances Place, Louisville, KY

  • and a host of other relatives and friends
Mr. Budzisz was a member of the Sparksville Baptist Church, a factory worker, and was in the Vietnam War in the United States Air Force, and was the recipient of several medals. Military honors will be presented by Columbia VFW Post 6097.

Interment will be in the Roach Cemetery.

Visitation will be after 3:30pm CT, Tuesday, February 20, 2007, at Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home, 210 Greensburg ST, Columbia, KY.

Stotts-Phelps-McQueary Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
