Second Summersville robbery suspect surrenders after stand-off

Summmersville bank robbery suspect gives up after midnight after Campbellsville house surrounded, and after several hours of negotiation

At around 8:25pm, last night, Wednesday, February 14, 2007, the Kentucky State Police from KSP Post 15, Columbia, and local lawmen surrounded a house on Gidget Trail in Campbellsville, KY, where bank robbery suspect Chadrick D Cox, 25, was believed to be inside, hiding.

The incident took several hours of negotiation before Cox agreed to surrender at 1:54am, this morning, Thursday, February 16, 2007.



Cox was wanted for robbery of the Deposit Bank and Trust Co. in Summersville, KY, that occurred February 9, 2007, and on other charges, which included failure to appear, receiving stolen property over $300, and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.

Cox was lodged in the Marion County Detention Center, Lebanon, KY.

The combined force in the operation included Kentucky State Police Post 15 officers, KSP Special Response Team, the Taylor County Sheriff's Department, and units from the Campbellsville Police Department.
