KSP Post 15, Columbia, KY, activity report Jan. 2007 Post area fatalities report shows improvement this year By Trooper Dwaine Barnett, Public Affairs Officer, Kentucky State Police Post 15, Columbia, KY During the month of January 2007, there were 53 traffic accidents investigated by the State Police working in the Post 15 area in the 11 counties of Adair, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Green, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Taylor and Washington. There were no fatalities in the Post 15 area. This brings our yearly fatality count to zero compared with two through this same period in 2006. State wide fatality count stands at 55 compared with 54 through this same period in 2006. During the month of January 2007, there were 1,864 citations written, 377 courtesy notices written, 2,262 vehicles inspected, 874 complaints answered, 94 motorists assisted, 74 criminal cases opened and 404 criminal arrests made.
