Letter: Problems with parking downtown There has to be a way for vans for handicapped to park To the editor, CM While driving around the square today, I observed a handicapped van trying to unload a wheelchair with a patient in it. There is not enough room in frontof the old building to unload. He had to park in the middle of the no parking space, wheel the patient to the corner of the Square at Jamestown ST, leave her there, then park the van in front of the consignment shoppe. There has got to be a place for a handicapped van. Oh, by the way--she was on her way to the dentist! Elveeta Sparks LWC Library This story was posted on 2007-02-01 17:19:27
