Letter: COF goes poetic, gets the last word

To the editor, CM

Much thanks for the invite to leave the aerie. However, the Allens, Douglases, Tuckers, Giles, Greers, Jessies, McLaurens, Roys and Wallaces among us would prefer to stay on our braes, pamper our bairns with bannocks and carouse with our brach's. Even tho' we came to these knobs and ridges for the same reasons as the Huguenots, we prefer not to mingle with those of the Norman persuasion who speak in words we can neither pronounce or understand.

The COF
On a Tor high above beautiful downtown Knifley

COF, this is beautifully spoken, and there's an element of merit in what you write. Yours is the last word, unless you have more to say. -Ed
