Sign at edge of Columbia really points to Bliss

Murrell Burton's sale sign at KY 61S & the Edmonton Road actually directs prospects to property in downtown Bliss, but to the uneducated eye it may appear to point to the home of Burton's friendly competitor Richard Lee Walker of Walker Realty & Auction Service. The location is significant this morning as KY 61 S just now marks the boundaries of Greater Bliss and the City of Columbia. The latter jurisdiction is bounding like kudzu across recent wilderness areas of Adair County toward Flatwoods and the Jones Chapel Road and onward to the Cumberland, Metcalfe, and Green County lines.

Scenic Adair County: Beautiful walls of cedars

The beautiful wall of cedars on the left side of the road seems to go on forever, but ends a short distance beyond going down, or north, on the Junior Walker Road in District 4 between KY 768 and Flatwoods.
